JOHN CARRIGAN ROTARY SOUTH ALL-STAR
CLASSIC

John
Carrigan loves football. This love inspired him to
establish All-Star Football to recognize outstanding
players through his own brand of support and fund
raising. The money raised supports programs and scholarships
that would otherwise not be available in Lee County.
The game also provides local high school football
players the opportunity to showcase their talents
to college recruiting scouts.
The
original game of Lee County All-Star Football (still
tagged as "North vs South") was the first
organized county-wide game in the state. Games are
held the evening before holiday vacation, and attendance
is still growing! Since the first all-star game in
1989, five other counties have begun All-Star programs
of their own. |
